The Pet Rock Ethereum Fund offers investors exposure to Ethereum (ETH). The Fund is high risk with ETH price volatility. Our philosophy is asset preservation first before seeking yield. When opportunities arise additional yield will be gained, but balanced with associated risk.
Investors seeking exposure to Ethereum (ETH) as well as earning a yield over-and-above the capital appreciation. Ethereum is the second largest Digital Asset by market capitalization and considered a “blue chip” cryptocurrency investment.
The Fund will invest directly in ETH and will be priced based on the exchange price quote. ETH will be used in yield farming or on platforms that return yield by a combination of efforts from the fund management team. Earnings will be compounded at regular intervals.
The Fund’s functional and reporting currency is in local currency ("Fiat" currency). We only accept local Fiat deposits and will effect withdrawals in Fiat. The valuation date is on the last working day of each calendar month at 17:00:00 SAST (UTC+02:00) time. Once received, Fiat is exchanged for ETH on the Ethereum main network (or a similar alternative). ETH is used to earn yield to enhance the Fund’s performance.
The Ethereum blockchain’s cryptocurrency, Ether (ETH), is commonly referred to as Ethereum. It is the second largest digital asset by market capitalization. PetRock believes Ethereum has gained substantial network effects, an emerging substrate for programming and interacting with digital value that will become ubiquitous in the future.
The main Fund growth will be through capital appreciation. Additional returns are largely determined by the fees offered by decentralised exchanges (DEX) or rewards from Crypto platforms and the Investment team seeks to generate additional returns through a combination of investment strategies. Fluctuations between the cryptocurrency price and Fiat currency may impact the overall returns generated.
Assets are rebalanced on a monthly basis, updating the Net Asset Value (NAV) and reported on independently by the Fund Administrator. Rebalancing (e.g. claiming token rewards) is determined through rigorous quantitative analysis and may change from time to time.
Fund growth will be reported on a monthly and quarterly basis. The Net Asset Value (NAV), including Fund growth, is measured and reported on independently by the Fund Administrator.
